At SNC we provide both partial and full house rewiring services to replace and upgrade faulty or outdated electrical systems.
What Is House Rewiring?
The electrical system in your home is powered by cables. Most cables are usually buried in the walls and under the floorboards.
These cables provide the power to your socket outlets. This includes your lights television, cooker and boiler and all other electrical items in your home.
Because old and faulty wiring can be a major risk in a property, over time the system and wiring needs to be replaced.
Wrongly installed electrics can result in electric shocks and fires.
A house rewire involves replacing all the wiring and upgrading the equipment.
How Do I Know If My House Needs Rewiring?
It can be very hard to spot electrical issues yourself. But there are a number of signs that may indicate there are problems with your home’s wiring.
These include:
- Consumer units tripping out regularly
- Crackling or buzzing noise around any of your electrical sockets or equipment
- Flickering lights
- Fuses or bulbs keep blowing regularly
- Signs of discolouration or burning on or around any of your electrical fittings
At SNC Facilities we offer both a partial and full rewiring service where our qualified electrician will carry out an EICR to determine if your house needs rewiring.
How Does The House Rewiring Process Work?
Older electrical cables that were previously thought to be safe, have since been proven to be unsafe and hazardous.
At SNC Facilities, the house rewiring process takes place in two stages. First, we remove the old wiring. Then we replace it with new wiring.
We rewire your home to eliminate any potential problems and ensure everything is modern, safe and certified.
A full rewire project may also mean that your property is without power for an extended period of time. If this is the case, you may need to move out temporarily .
