Electrical Testing & Inspections (EICR) in Essex & London

At SNC Facilities we offer a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) service.

What is an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)?

SNC Facilities offer an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) service.

The Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a comprehensive check of the fixed wiring of your electrical installation.

It’s a snapshot of your installation to establish whether they are safe and compliant with current regulations. It is also to identify any potential safety issues.

The EICR is about checking the underlying electrical system. This includes the wiring, the fuse board, earthing, bonding and all the other things you can’t see but could be a risk.

How the EICR process works

Our electrician will visit your premises or property and make a visual assessment. They will then carry out a series of checks on your electrical systems.

If they find any problems that are immediately dangerous, they will need to arrange to fix those either there and then or at least make them safe.

They’ll note any other problems that are potentially dangerous, and will provide a quote to fix them at the end of the process.

In addition we will also highlight any other issues which are recommendations, but not deemed unsafe.

During the visit, we will complete a thorough report. We will then provide you with a copy, on payment for the visit and any work carried out.

We will also provide you with a quote for any further remedial works recommended in order to bring your system up to standard.

What should be checked during an EICR?

Our electrician will check that your fuse board is safe and compliant with the current regulations.

This means whether it has the necessary circuit breakers and RCD protection.

An RCD, or residual current device, is a life-saving device which is designed to prevent you from getting a fatal electric shock if you touch something live, such as a bare wire.
